The Institute considers consultancy services as an important means for extending benefit of scientific research work at the Institute to the Indian Industry, broadening the experience base of the our community and contributing to the country's industrial and economic growth. Therefore, as a matter of policy, the Institute encourages its faculty members to undertake consultancy work as a measure of scientific/technical collaboration with outside agencies. Appropriate consultancy projects, in addition to providing much needed service to the industry, enrich the professional experience and knowledge of the faculty members and provide a first hand knowledge of the current problems of industry which is used in tuning the curriculum to the national needs.
